Tremble

Tremble

Her predatory eye,
The single feral iris,
Scans.

Her raptor beak,
All jagged sharp-edged thrust,
Juts.

Her hard talon,
Clenched in pinched expectation,
Waits.

Her clipped wings,
Preened against reality,
Tremble.
